1 cup flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg large
½ cup chocolate chips
Method
- Preheat your oven to 175°C.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt.
- In a separate bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar and caster sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and egg to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough into a rectangle on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Leave to cool slightly, then cut into chip-shaped strips.
