Terms of use
Last updated: 10 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of My Recipe Saga (myrecipesaga.com and the app). By using the site or creating an account, you agree to them. We have kept them as short and clear as possible.
1. Who we are
My Recipe Saga is a service provided by Friday Webs. You can email questions about these terms to info@fridaywebs.com.
2. The service
My Recipe Saga is a free platform where you can discover, save, share and organise recipes into collections, and follow other cooks.
We do our best to keep the service working properly and securely, but we cannot promise that it will always be available without interruptions or errors. We may add, change or discontinue features.
3. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for your login details and for everything that happens with your account. If you notice that someone else is using your account, please let us know.
Your username and profile are public. Do not choose a name that is misleading or infringes the rights of others.
4. Your recipes and photos
What you post remains yours. However, you give us permission, in the form of a free, non-exclusive licence, to display, store, translate, format and share your recipes, photos and profile details on the site and in the app through the service’s features, for as long as they remain on My Recipe Saga.
Public recipes and collections are visible to everyone, including people without an account, and can be found by search engines. We do not show recipes that you set to private or "via link" in overviews.
You may only post content that you created yourself or are allowed to share. Do not copy other people’s texts or photos, such as from cookbooks or websites, word for word without permission. You may recreate a recipe and describe it in your own words, with a source attribution if you found it somewhere else.
If you delete a recipe or your account, we remove the content from the site. Copies in backups are deleted within a short period.
5. Smart features (AI)
Some features use artificial intelligence: reading a recipe from text or a photo, translating it into other languages, estimating nutritional values and allergens, and creating a photo of a dish if you do not upload one yourself.
These results are estimates and may contain errors. Check them before publishing. Nutritional values are indicative only.
Allergen information is always a tool and is not a guarantee. If you or someone you are cooking for has an allergy, always check the labels of the products you use yourself.
6. What is not allowed
- posting content that is unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, threatening or sexually explicit
- infringing the copyrights, trademark rights or privacy of others
- posting spam, advertising or misleading content
- pretending to be someone else
- disrupting the service, bypassing our security or collecting data from the site on a large scale
If you do so, we may remove content and temporarily block or close your account.
7. Liability
You use My Recipe Saga at your own risk. Recipes come from users; we do not check them and are not responsible for their accuracy or for the consequences of preparing them.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for damage caused by the service being temporarily unavailable or by content being lost. This does not limit rights that you cannot waive under applicable law.
8. Closing your account
You can stop using the service at any time. Delete your account yourself under Edit profile, at the bottom under Delete account. If that does not work, email info@fridaywebs.com. We delete your account and your data as described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes
We may amend these terms. We will notify you of important changes on the site or by email. If you continue to use the service afterwards, the new terms will apply.
10. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another EU country, you retain the protection provided to you by the consumer protection law of that country. If you cannot resolve a matter with us, you may bring it before the competent court.
